Guitar 1 (ages 7-16)

Tuesdays (8 weeks: 3/3 - 4/21/20)

A class for curious and fun-loving strummers! Our beginning guitar class is a dynamic introduction to the world of guitar playing. Bring your own guitar, and get ready to learn basic chords, note-reading, rhythm, and strumming with a group! Students will be able to play simple melodies from genres ranging from folk to rock to pop, and be able to train their ears to listen for chords in their favorite songs, while mastering tuning, playing a scale, improvisation, and group jamming. Follow this class with Guitar 1A, private lessons, or jump into another class. A final performance will take place during the last class.
