Mari Munet
Art
Mari began her art career in Boulder, Colorado where she first exhibited work. She received a National Endowment for the Arts Award for her first exhibit ‘Organic Passion’ in the year 2000. In 2002, she received a scholarship to study at the Art Institute of Chicago where she participated in a rigorous studio practice.
When Mari teaches basic courses, she shares the basic meaning of color, and helps students blend and create their own. Students learn the symbolism of everyday object - this connects students with how humans are affected by images, and how they can choose the images that can enhance their lives.
From her experience at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, she became a multidisciplinary artist. She has mixed drawing, painting, paper collage, ink, found objects, and mosaic.
