Summer Camps 2020
Summer camps 2020 are running beginning July 20, and registration is still open! (safety details below)
One Week Camps:
Puppet Theater: Romeo & Juliet (August 3 - 7)
Construct puppets and staging, while learning and mastering lines for a group puppet performance extravaganza. Puppets will be constructed with home materials and a performance will follow (currently planned for a group virtual performance from the school). Optional field trip available, determined by CDC updates. (All ages, led by Maria Gabriela Garcia)
Let’s Play Together: Ensemble Camp (August 10 - 14)
Student ensemble camp for students of a variety of instruments to come together to play their favorite songs in a group format. Music lessons and activities for rehearsal and practice on a daily basis. Outside rehearsals and optional field trip available, determined by CDC updates. Performance to follow. (Ages 7+)
Two Week Camps:
Arts All-Around Camp! (July 20 - 31)
Dabble in all the arts with different music and visual art activities daily, including group band rehearsal, individual instrument sectionals, mixed-media paint and paper maché creature sculpture. Outside rehearsal/art, relaxation station, and optional field trip available, determined by CDC updates. Performance and presentation to follow (Ages 10+)
Safety Measures
We take seriously the heath and safety of all of our students, families and community. During camp, students and teachers will wear masks, when working in close proximity. All participants will partake in safe, physical distancing, and hand-washing upon entering and exiting the school. Surfaces, including all instruments, art supplies, desk surfaces, chairs, and door knobs will be cleaned before and after activities. Students or teachers exhibiting persistent cough are asked not to attend camp. Health measures subject to change, as directed by CDC.
Summer Camp 2020 Details
All camps are 9:00am - 3:30pm. Extended 8:00-9:00am, and 3:30-5:00pm available. Bring a packed lunch, snacks and water. Optional field trip with each camp. All camps include final performances. Email or call us with any questions.
